For fashion designers & clothing brands
Beyond the lookbook.
Into the story.
You’ve spent months building a collection. You’ve sourced the fabric, made every pattern decision, thought about every seam. Your work has a point of view, a history, a visual language that is entirely yours. The question is whether your photography is telling that story or just showing the clothes.
I work with independent fashion designers, textile artists, and emerging clothing brands across the Bay Area who are ready for imagery that finally matches the level of what they make. A complete visual identity ~ the designer behind the work, the process, the fabric, and the finished pieces in the world.

BRANDING & COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Branding Photography for Fashion Designers
Designers Need Content That Works Editorially
Fashion designers aren’t just posting on Instagram ~ they’re pitching to press, applying to trunk shows, submitting to boutiques, and building lookbooks. Strong images do more than show off products ~ they build trust and help drive real sales, and eye-catching visuals are the secret weapon for fashion brands looking to stand out. They need images that work at every level from a website hero to a magazine submission.

Brand Photography for Fashion Designers in the Bay Area
Because your collection deserves images that match what you made.
You’ve spent months building something. Maybe it started with a fabric you couldn’t stop thinking about, or a silhouette that came to you in the middle of the night, or a problem with the way clothes actually fit real bodies that you decided you were going to solve. Whatever the origin story, you’ve turned it into something tangible ~ a collection, a brand, a point of view that is entirely yours.
And then you look at your website and your Instagram and your press kit, and the photos don’t match any of it.
This is the most common thing I hear from independent fashion designers in the Bay Area when they finally reach out to book a branding session. The work has evolved. The brand has a real identity But the photography is still catching up.
I’m Becca Henry, an Oakland-based photographer specializing in brand photography for fashion designers, textile artists, and independent clothing brands across the San Francisco Bay Area. I work in an editorial and documentary style that means I’m as comfortable shooting the chaos of a cutting table mid-collection as I am creating a polished hero portrait for a press kit. how to make sure you walk away with images that finally tell the whole story.

The process
01
Discovery Call
We start with a conversation about your brand ~your aesthetic, your ideal clients, your visual references, and what you need the photos to do. I send you a brand questionnaire beforehand so we arrive prepared. It’s a creative collaboration from the first moment.
02
Creative Planning
I build a custom shot plan around your brand ~ locations that feel right for your aesthetic, a shot list that covers every image you need across your website, social media, and press, and styling guidance so everything coheres visually.
03
The Shoot
Relaxed, editorial, and in environments that feel native to your work ~ your studio or a rented studio with the right light, a location in the city that matches the energy of your collection. I work with a documentary eye alongside planned shots, so we get both the polished hero images and the real, alive moments in between.
04
Delivery
Your edited gallery arrives within two weeks on a private, PIN-protected online gallery. You make your selections, I retouch each chosen image to final quality, and deliver high-resolution files ready for print, web, and social. Everything you need, organized and ready to use immediately.
